Amazon interaction in SL

My friend Jeffronius Batra, in RL known as Amazon employee Jeff Barr, sent along this info about Amazon interaction inside SL. The Second411 HUD that we covered back on June 7 now has integrated Amazon search. Also see AWS blog and second411.com.

The first (?) ECS-powered Amazon Store Within Second Life [SLurl]. To search Amazon you just type /1 SEARCH TERMS and 10 results will be generated showing the #1 result book close to you. To get more information or purchase any item in the list, touch-and-hold it and select ‘go to page’ from the dialog box.

If the search item ever becomes for sale a good feature to include would be automatic insertion of the Amazon Affiliate ID. I could see some folks putting these up in their stores if they could put their own Amazon Affiliate IDs into the results. Jeffronius has more at the AWS blog.
