Koz Farina was kind enough to send me a copy of his work-in-progress SL-to-third party blogging plugin called blogHUD a few days ago.

It is not available publically as of this writing, but you can probably lay your hands on the HUD if you contact Koz Farina directly. As mentioned earlier, I’ve also been working on an SL to blog related tool, so my comments about blogHUD here will be strictly informational. Feel free to use the comments below to offer your comments/feedback.

How to blog with blogHUD
Open your inventory and attach to your HUD (I chose center, but it ended up in top left). Then type:

/9 message goes here

The message will appear at your my.bloghud.com/YOURNAME. For example, my test blog post went here: http://my.bloghud.com/tdgoodliffe/

You can also write longer posts on a notecard. The bloghud.com website explains:

To create a longer post, you need to create a notecard in your inventory, type what you want to say then save it. Then drag and drop it from your inventory to the blogHUD. It will then read the contents of the notecard and prompt you for a title to this post. NB: TEXT ONLY notecards please. No embedded links or images - it will not work. It will break it.

No third party blog support yet, no permalinks (yet), although Koz indicates that is coming in the comments when we covered it the first time.
