Checking out Pear Computers
Now here’s a cool Second Life (SL) business idea.
When it comes to the virtual world, forget Apple, why not try a Pear computer? That’s what Pear Computers, Inc hopes prospective customers will do by bridging the gap between Real Life (RL) and SL.
This evening I stopped by and met Gentoo Speculaas, one of the brains behind Pear Computer product line. These are the features the Pear Computer comes equipped with for $500L as of this writing:
you can write yourself an e-mail into RL - try it out now!
pVisit - Find out when you have visitors near your laptop
pCalc - what everybody needs: an SL calculator
the next free update will also calculate currencies
pInfo - Learn more about yourself in SL.
pAdmin - Control access to your laptop
BarounNet - connect the the widespread SL network of BarounNet.
While there another SL resident was asking: what about the pPod? Sounds like it might be coming. For more details see the official Pear Computers, Inc blog and to find them in SL, just do a search in classifieds for “pear computers” or click on the picture above and follow the teleport link courtesy of slpics.com. Pear Computers, Inc is located in porcupine.
