Update 3/5/2006: Linden Labs has released a new free service called SLurl that makes this process easier. The directions that follow still work for providing a direct link for those with Second Life installed.

The link format for linking up a Second Life sim location in a website page is as follows: secondlife://SIM/x/y

Red circle shows the Scirpt School Chalet as of  2/17/2006

So to link up the Script School Chalet shown on the map above we’d use secondlife://Monti/240/40/

The last coordinate, BTW is the Z (up/down coordinate). Linux users with Mozilla browser need to do a little more tweaking explained in this forum post (user/pass required).
