My first paid custom scripting work in SL experience

On Friday I was contacted via IM by an SL resident looking for some custom scripting work. They are building out their sim (a sim is an entire island worth of land) and needed some scripting assistance. I told them I was still learning the Linden Scripting Language (LSL) but might be interested in some third party scripting work.

Turns out, what they wanted done was something I was able to code fairly quickly. I was paid $3,000L for the work and now have a complete script I can sell to others if I want. I set the script to copy, modify but not resell. This way the person can make as many copies as they want, modify the code but not resell. It occured to me that somebody with these permissions could still copy the entire script and attach to a new object and then set the permissions to resell/giveaway, so my next project will involve making only part of the script logic with mod permissions and the other part not, say like a configuration notecard.
