As I write this the sim where my script store is at, Monti, has been down nearly 18 hours. Inaccesible. I can’t TP there, nobody can visit including me. It’s just dead. I’m paying for two listings for people to encourage people to visit my store — that they currently can’t visit.

This of course means no sales either. It’s like having a store with road construction allowing no customers to enter.

I fully understand and expect reasonable scheduled maintenance and even the need to deal with attackers once in awhile, but almost a full day down and no word about tier compensation? Why am I paying to have land I cannot access?

can't access Monti sim for nearly 18 hours and counting

Get your act together Linden Labs. You can’t charge people for access to something they can’t access. The last couple weekends have been terrible with multiple crashes, problems and grid attacks.

My confidence in SL as a platform is starting to be shaken. There are only 200,000 active accounts, what happens when/if they have five times this amount? Will it be down more than up?

I just checked again. Still can’t access Monti sim.

And I’m paying for this.

Update 10:19pm SL time: As fellow VTOR group member JohnnyRS notes in the comments below the Monti sim returned about 10 minutes or so after this post was originally published. No direct word from the Lindens yet on what they they will do about this extended outage.
