Why are so few items for rent in Second Life?

I have been looking around for a honeymoon location in Second Life and have found my self  wondering why there is so little renting of Items…. say like a HUD (heads up display) loaded with… ummmm… “lovin actions”.  I don’t know for sure, but I am thinking that no one has written a script  which will allow items passed to others inventory and remove themselves back to the owners inventory after the agreed upon rental period.  What do you guy’s  think?  Can this be done?  Wouldn’t it open a new  side of second life,  rental of costumes, gowns, tuxes, gestures, and antimations etc.
