Well, I’ll admit that right off the bat, I wasn’t too fond of this. Mainly because I’ve never been too fond of quizzes or trivia. Played a little Facebook trivia for movies and television, but unless there was something absolutely great about it, it doesn’t really peak my interest. But in light of being fair, I decided to give it a shot and see where it took me.

quibblo.jpg Design: The design of it all was actually very clean. While I’m not fond of the color choices (light blue, and orange text), it is easier to read than some things and doesn’t kill the eyes. It also has your usual social networking features for sharing via Facebook, email, AIM, and many other popular social networks. It also integrates tagging and other types of browsing features. Very easy to use, and clean interface so it was actually pretty nice to maneuver around in.

Playability: It’s your usual survey/poll type site so it’s very easy to read with easily chosen answers. None of the whole “next next” type interface so if you’re into asking lots of questions and hope that people answer them, this is definitely for you. Obviously many people like to answer quizzes judging by the front page and the questions that are asked. There’s even a rating for each quiz… reminded me of ‘Hot or Not’ for quizzes. Strange how that type of thing pops in your head.

Overall: Quibblo is probably one of those interesting attempts at combining social networking with online quizzes. While I wasn’t very fond of it to begin with, and you couldn’t pay me enough to do more quizzes in my busy life, it was actually well done for what it was trying to accomplish. Strangely enough, I deduced that the namesake comes from the word quibble which is “To evade the truth or importance of an issue by raising trivial distinctions and objections.” Strange choice for branding. I believe that I’m torn mainly because it’s pretty obvious that there is a market out there of people that love to create and answer quizzes… but Quibblo really didn’t strike me as something that I would want to do or convince me otherwise. Alas, what can you do… to each their own.
