>>touted as performing the best live boogie blues in Second Life.

lol, I think I'm the ONLY boogie blues player in SL, so I'm not sure if being the "best" means much!

Anyways, I think anyone who promotes themselves as the "best [insert music style here] musician in [insert virtual world here] deserves to see a shrink...I understand the need for self promotion but music [and art in general] do not work like that and is basically a self delusional attitude.

>>His first song was a nice jazzy blues rendition and had a smile on my face, but his Second song wiped that smile right away and left me questioning if I really wanted to be there.

hehe...I listened to the gig recording to see which one you were talking about. My version of "Someday baby" by Mississippi Fred McDowell. Actually I just morphed it into a little spacey jam, but sorry about wiping the smile off your face harold!

My live shows tend to be fairly experimental sometimes so you have to take the good with the bad;-)
Doing the experimentation keeps it fresh for both me and the listeners...doesn't always work, but hey, C'est la vie! I actually call my style BoogieBluesNoise because of this;-)

Anyway, thanks for hanging in there, and I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the jam..er, set!

http://www.sonicviz.com/music/members/6/music.php has a free download of my sl live rendition of Amazing Grace [mistakes and all] you can play loud and long to annoy the neighbours!
