Forbes.com posted today that “CBS announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with The Electric Sheep Company as part of its plans to increase its presence on Second Life and other online virtual worlds.”

Electric Sheep is based in New York and has created numerous large projects in Second Life including The L Word, and Star Trek, both CBS’s; other clients include the likes of Viacom’s MTV Networks, Time Warner, and Major League Baseball.

This partnership of CBS and Electric Sheep is part of around seven million US dollars of financing raised by Electric Sheep since its founding in April 2005. Although neither side would disclose the details of CBS’s investment.
