Die Hard 4 SL promo featuring Bruce Willis

Who doesn’t like John McClane? Come on now. Admit it. You’ve always had a soft spot for the guy. Sure, he’s dodged death and psycho stalkers only a bit less than James Bond has, but the guy is just downright awesome in a tight pinch. You even feel sorry for him since it seems like he just wants some quiet alone time, and he just happens to be in the wrong time and wrong place everywhere he goes.

Bruce has depicted the action genre ever since his action-packed acting with Die Hard. He has a little spot in all our hearts when he tells other Hollywood actors and actresses to come down from their high horse:

“I don’t think my opinion means jack s**t, because I’m an actor. “Why do actors think their opinions mean more because you act? You just caught a break as an actor. There are hundreds – thousands – of actors who are just as good as I am, and probably better. “Have you heard anything useful come out of an actor’s mouth lately?”

No doubt this is proves at least a little bit that he’s more down-to-earth than some. But then you find that the guy also surfs Internet boards and forums and actually steps up the plate and proves that he’s who he says he is by showing up to a doubting fan via an iChat.

Well, now to promote his upcoming Live Free or Die Hard, SLNN reports that he’s gonna meet with eight people in Second Life that are chosen from all the contestants that enter. You’ll have to answer four trivia questions, fill out a 500 word essay, and put in some personal information for a chance to meet him. In Second Life.

Yes, I’ll admit that I’ve already tried to fill it out, but the Flash form dies due to it being down. One of the reasons you never use Flash for forms since it’s a pain for the end user to re-do everything. I’ll also say that it’s probably not as great to meet the guy in SL than an all out iChat. But hey, these days, fans will take what they can get to meet those Hollywood stars.
