Exploring SL: Tableau
The painters, decorators, terraformers and cactus planters have been in and transformed Tableau since my last visit. It is now a desert frontier town, with some great shops.
I particularly loved the jewellery in Cora Lu’s shop Paper Couture.
If anyone wishes to buy me presents, cut along there quick! There are shops with novelties, skins, clothes, jewellery, shoes and furniture. Several of the shops have freebie boxes.
I have to say, although I like sims which have grown organically with a little added here and there each week, there is something to be said for having a style and plan, keeping to a particular time and place, and fitting everything into the style. It works well, looks interesting, and as though exploration would be rewarded. And there are some great shops!

The sim is definitely high-load, as evidenced by your first photo with grey where colorful textures should be (and we’re looking into that time dilation issue you noticed as well)… but sometimes ya gotta say, lag-be-damned! I laughed when I read the word “plan” — we definitely stuck with a theme but detailed plan? ha! this was very free form (but creating a “whole” out of chaos is really fun with a group like the Tableau-ians). Glad you liked your visit.
