Second Life residents no longer have to settle for old school web-based auctions. BidSL is now open in Second Life which allows SL residents to auction their creations, land, used items, services, etc. to others. This takes place entirely in Second Life. There is of course no "fee" to join BidSL. Why exactly were you expected to pay $2.00?

You can find BidSL in SL (search BidSL) or visit our website for more information BidSL.com.

I would recommend you visit the ultimate sl auction site at slauctions.co.uk who have nothing to do with sl-auctions.com and also charge no fees and have loads of inworld activities.

Kind Regards
Roger

I've been waiting to update this post when the issue was completely resolved (not yet as of this comment). I've exchanged some emails with the sl-auctions.com site owner and sent payment to the correct paypal address. It appears if something breaks down in the automated process, emailing back and forth and manually submitting the payment is the solution. For anybody else that runs into this problem these are the details:

sl-auctions contact info:
contact at sl-auctions dot com

sl-auctions PayPal address (put the registered name in the comments so they know who to credit):
billing at sl-auctions dot com

I've got a receipt for my PayPal purchase, so just in the waiting mode for them to manually activate my account now.
