Go in the ocean, and stay in the ocean…

Before anyone is wondering…. no, that’s not the actual location of Caribbean Tropico. Yes, it is a bug. It seems like it might be a client-side bug, but I can’t really tell. It’s just dang interesting.

So basically, the way it happened was….

I was racing around the beach in my MTX Racer, doing donuts, and flying in and out of the water in fly mode. But you know when you lag and your character keeps going forward and sometimes downward? Yeah… that happened. When the lag dissipated, I was stuck in a loop of sorts where you could not teleport and could not get out. The location just kept getting bigger and bigger, and the negative numbers, … well.. bigger and bigger.

What’s interesting is that I pinged fellow VTOR author, Evansmom Goodspeed, and she came to take a look. Apparently, I was still sitting in the ocean, same place as always.  Didn’t even move from where I went in.

Fix?

Relogin. Crazy isn’t it. Just another one of those things that need to be fixed at some point. Anyone else have a similar experience?
