I Have New Wallpaper!

And it looks just like the paper my Ginko Perpetual Bonds are printed on. Oh, wait! It is my GPBs! Yes, I am an official victim of the Ginko Financial fiasco, but at least I have a few lindens left now that they have been transferred to the World Stock Exchange. And the hits just keep on coming …. Although my whole Ginko stash is accounted for, panic sellers drove the price down way below par so that they’re trading about at about 20 cents on the linden. It’s better than being broke. But now the challenge facing all of us who have decided to ride out this little adventure have another challenge … dealing with tech support.

SL is a virtual world but the same issues dog avies and “real people;” like tech or customer support that isn’t very supportive or is run by people who dont speak the same language. I ran into that when I tried to contact WSE support via live chat and found myself working with someone whose primary language was Czech.

Granted he spoke some English and I speak no Czech, so he still had the advantage. But he still couldnt figure out what I was asking even though several others in the public chat room tried to help. Oh, and I had to talk about it in public, too, although you’re supposed to be taken to a private chat for account issues. Sort of like getting a Pap test in the lobby instead of an exam room.
