Inadvertent sim crashers please note

There is an interesting conversation on the forums at present, about an avatar who is crashing sims on entry, taking all the other avatars with her, of course. The avatar in question, Sky Eclipse, is not crashing sims deliberately, and it seems that she isn’t wearing anything obviously sim-crashing as an attachment. In the light of that, I am wondering whether my friend’s sim having been crashed repeatedly is a sign of the same malaise affecting another avatar. If they don’t know how to change their log-in location, they may have tried repeatedly to log back into SL and have crashed the sim inadvertently, as it seems Sky was doing.

One interesting thing comes from the discussion: there is a linden sim called Crash me, which you can log into if you are having crashing problems. In case you don’t know how to do this, you need to click the SL logo to get the login page, and then before logging in, click on the preferences button. Then choose general, which is the top most button, and you will see a drop down on the right at the top, which allow you to choose to log into your home, your last location, or a named sim. Key in Crash me as the named sim, and ok it, before attempting to log in.

Dan Linden asks you to Im him if you manage to CRash crash me, although how you are expected to do that if you crash on entry, I am not sure. Maybe phone a friend? Log in an Alt?
