Kaneva Now Open to All
As of today March 15, 2007 Kaneva Beta is open to all Kaneva members and the Non disclosure agreement is tossed out the window.
I have worked hard to get an invitation into The World of Kaneva (the 3D part of Kaneva) and was crippled by the non disclosure agreement, but today the non disclosure agreement pass into history. I am now free to tell you that if you want to step (in a way) back into history to a time that 3D avatars of Second Life were so basically cartoonish, wobbled when they walked, but the scene was considerably less crowded… go sign up for Kaneva and head straight into the 3D world. Oh, prepare to be disappointed!
You will find you are unable to create any content other than texturing you walls and floors, the clothes for sale really suck, how you are able to change the features of your avatar are very limited, chatting is a pain if you are wanting to move around any, and there is not very much to see. BUT, this is a new world to participate in and be a part of the growth and expansion, and will be interesting to watch grow.
As of today, all you have to do is create a Kaneva account and you can go directly into the 3D world.

Thanks for the feedback! We definitely like to hear all views about Kaneva as we kick off our open beta.
The Virtual World of Kaneva is something that’s still evolving, and as you said, it’ll be an interesting experience.
Thanks again,

[...] and fellow authors interested in adding to the map above, it’s available publically here. As Harold noted earlier, Kaneva is no longer in “private beta” so that needs to be changed in the image above. [...]

Wow Harold, you have over 325 friends on there! At what point did you receive a beta invite? Lestat said he received his last week.
Thanks for stopping by, Rich. Hopefully you’ll be better about returning messages than Michelle. Left her two messages and she never returned the calls.

TD, I am not really sure when I received the invitation, I threw it away with the tons of email I received telling me someone either ask for friendship or left a comment on my profile. I got in world several days ago.

Rich, I sent an email several days ago asking you a couple questions, which you didn’t bother to answer. Thanks for stopping by.

Email or private message? Sorry I missed it. I’ll check back and see. I try to be good about these things.
