Lucky private island members who qualify as concierge clients, began receiving an odd object purporting to be a “Linden LuvGlobe” yesterday. People began to chat openly about them, and worried that it was the start of a grid attack, as it seemed so unlikely to be a real Linden object.

People discussing it on the Concierge Information List were sure it was a hoax object and possible a grid attack object, and so they discarded and certainly refused to rez it. One of my friends who isn’t on the list, asked me a while later if I thought it was OK, and I warned him against rezzing it, but wondered if it could be… I IM’d Jack Linden, who is on the Concierge staff.

A short while later Harmony Linden IM’d me back to confirm that it was indeed a Linden object, designed to invite the chosen ones to a Valentine’s get together. I am sure they realise how inappropriate the title was. They thought it was a bit of fun, but it had become a “PITA” to quote Harmony.

The object has been renamed, I believe, to avoid further confusion, although latest reports that I have indicated that a large number of the qualified people had yet to receive theirs.
