MangaFighter could be your next entertaining MMO. Currently in open beta, this game is much like your usual 3D fighting games…. wait a second. No it’s not. It’s more like one of those third person shooters, where it’s your team versus the other team. Point rankings and all. This is more aimed at younger players, where parents don’t want the more violent types of games in the hands of children.

So out comes this one with skill cards, special weaponry, and all sorts of other things.

It also depends on how addicted you are to FPS type shooters online. The problem with games such as these is that while they’re fun, they are limited to certain types of weaponry, skills, and maps. After a while, you’ve played all the maps, and mastered most of the skills, and have gotten bored enough to actually go around fragging with the weakest weapon in the game. How do I know this? I’ve been there. Many-a-time.

But in any case, this still provides you with much amusement and I’m assuming that there will be some sort of micropayment business model seeing how you can download the client and there is a store being set up during the beta process. I won’t say that it’s my most anticipated game this year, but it’s definitely one of the few that would capture my attention much more than running around a fantasy world trying to power level.
