Penn State Dance Marathon

As I write this, I am at the ‘THON’ a dance Marathon taking place in both Real Life and Second Life to help raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund for pediatric cancer at the Penn State Children’s Hospital. The Penn State Dance Marathon started tonight at 6:00 pm and will run 46 hours. Keeping tired students leaning on each other and trying to stay on their feet. The Second Life event is taking place at The Mill Pond, while the real life event is taking place on the campus of Penn State University, in University Park, Pennsylvania.

Because it takes little to keep on your feet in Second Life, the dance marathon will be skipped in Second Life, but there is an outstanding line up of performers providing live entertainment. You have already missed Grace McDunnough, one of the great female voices in Second Life, but starting at 6:00pm SLT time will be Montrealer Moody singing folk while playing his acoustic guitar. Then at 7:00 Johnny99 Gumshoe will rock you with his blues rock and his Electric guitar.

Tomorrow starting early in the morning on the west coast (7:00am) will start a new chance to catch some o the finest performers in Second Life. List furnished by Virtually Fantastic.
