Rolling out the Need 4 Speed
Moping around some sims, trying to panhandle and scrounge for money for beer… errr… food.. I came across some sweet rides. Yes, they were motorcycles, crotch rockets, … beautifully made and looking sweet and inviting. “That had to be some glorious speed,” I thought. Moments later, I was trying to jimmy the bike and steal it.
Unfortunately, I was deterred by the security on the bike (who really has butt sensors that knows the owner’s butt from someone else’s is beyond me), and heartbroken, I sought out where I could examine this bike more closely. Apparently Need4Speed created and provided those sweet racing dreams. But that wasn’t all. Before getting kicked out of the showroom due to disorderly manner and drunken behavior that frightened all of the clientele, I was able to check out some of the beautiful creations by JR Breed.
These vehicles were similar to your usual import and cars that usually had after-market parts on them, along with your regular street motorcycles, and drag bikes. They even had a monster truck just for your amusement. What’s more is that outside of the insane designs that had every bit of detail, Breed goes and makes customizable rims and a HUD to drive the vehicle, and even gives you pointers on how to do tricks with the controls. Most of these vehicles are also made to fly, complete with sound and animations. No amount of detail was left out.
As I sauntered onto the next sim, in hopes of someone having an odd job or two to help drown some of the sorrow and pain of my SL financial life (of which my psychiatrist tells me that is self-destructive)… I dream of racing through the clouds with the wind in my hair on one of those sweet RTX Macers. Ahhh.

It’s been some time since I’ve driven or piloted any vehicles in SL. As far as I can recall you aren’t missing much. Driving things from any POV was horrid in my experience.
