Scambusted: Builder’s Paradise
I went to Builder’s Paradise in search of the Xyobject, which used to be available from Xylor Baysklef, in the hope that maybe someone had something similar. I found the documentation for the XYobject in Yadni’s junkyard, but not the Xyobject itself, and so I started searching for somewhere that had building objects and gadgets.
Arriving at Builder’s Paradise, I thought it looked well organised and presented. I was slightly surprised by the display for a temp on rez rezzer which promise unilimited prims on your land…. As far as I know, the Linden revision of the temporary-on-rez function means that it is now impossible to have unlimited temp-on-rez prims, even if you own a sim.
I am going to have to investigate this further, as I met someone who told me that the temp rezzer merged objects into one prim and then refreshed them.
Then I caught sight of something that looked like it might be what I wanted: The Math Builder. Thing is, when I clicked on it for a note card, I recognised instantly the Cadroe Murphy building tool - in fact the people are SO lazy that they didn’t even bother to change the notecard which still shows Cadroe as the originator.
This makes me sooo cross. People who don’t know that you can get these for free at Mera Pixel’s will be buying them for $599 lindens - yeah, that’s right $599!
The more I look the more stuff I see set for sale: Lex Neva’s pipe maker, $1L in her store, $50 here; Vlad Bjornsen’s Prim Twister, $0L in his gallery, $50 lindens here. I have made a classified to warn people that he is selling the free building tools, but I don’t know how many people will read it.
Avoid this place. Most of the stuff isn’t made by the people who are selling it and most is available free or for $1L elsewhere. In fact if you go to Nemesis, there is one of Vlad Bjorsen’s free building tools kiosks with all the tools in it.
As for the SL chamber of commerce! How can you have people like this as members and still expect to be taken seriously?

Wow Caliandris, what a catch! I absolutely hate coming across freebies marked for sale at yard sales but this is so very much worse than that - setting up shop to vend someone else’s product?
One minor correction for Cadroe Murphy’s great tools - we do have it set to sell for 1L.

I somehow missed this post, but Caliandris clued me in. I went for a look-see, this Builder’s Paradise is definitely re-selling tools that are meant to be given away.

The sign hands out a notecard that contains every free tool that I can find. You can even grab a copy of the sign - it automatically updates when I add to the list.
