Screwball Cartoon Avatars
Who knows when I’ll release that new/old project of mine…. perhaps I’ve already done it and you didn’t even know.
In any case, during the research for this little Second Life project, I also ran across Screwball Cartoon Avatars. This place was not as large as the last store I visited, but it definitely was a lot neater. The prices were higher but the quality of characters was also better. These characters ranged from Care Bears, to Smurfs, to South Park. I would imagine that every single one designed was done in a similar fashion which means that they all have audio clips that you can probably activate and custom animations. Most of these avatars seemed to implement the shape folding style of tinies and some even had two different types of looks (such as Kenny, where he’s dead and alive).
Anoher really nice thing about this store? It gives you a relative view of how large your avatar will be. This is very useful for a new person in Second Life if you’ve never seen a tiny, or teeny or whatever the heck that mosquito of an avatar is called. I believe the only one that was that small was Speedy Gonzales.
Most of the avatars ranged in the four hundred Linden arena so if you don’t have that much, you better find a job. I still had a few bucks left from that wallet I stole a while back. Hmm… perhaps I need to look into joining a gang or something. I’ve heard there are some pretty bad motha!@#*$@ over in French Town…
