Second Life first time process credit complete

An update to the time it takes Linden Lab to process cash out to PayPal. Yesterday at 10:21:04 the money was finally transferred to PayPal and the message “In Progress” changed to “processed” inside the Second Life processed credit history screen.
Details of processed payment #1
Process credit requested: April 24, 2007 14:31:13 PDT
Process credit processed: May 2, 2007 10:21:04 PDT

Some 8+ calendar days and 6+ business days and the time speaks loudly for itself. Wanted to give this post the same exposure as the last one, thus the reason to create a second post. I’m going to try processing another payment soon.
After publishing the first post I received several in world IMs from other residents expressing their frustration with the time delay. One resident told me he regularly experienced delays for $2,000+ cash outs of over 14 days! At noon today SL time there is a much ballyhooed Town Hall meeting at the Pooley stage [SLurl]. With the numerous problems lately, could be a large crowd.

A recent check drawn from the Royal Bank of Canada took over 35 days to clear. Stop complaining!

Fast to take, slow to give. Maybe that’s cool with you Baba, but not me.

I guess you missed the point. Money is hard to part with. You’re being delayed by their risk assessments. The more people cashing out, the longer it takes them to get to you. You’re just as fast to take as they are, you’re just not as worried about the risk when you give. Linden Lab has many thousands of customers and some of them are trying to rip off Linden Lab and you. If they had a way to fast-track their orders and bypass the risk assessment they would be running scams left and right(as if they were not trying already).

Money isn’t hard to part with when it’s our money. I’m saying their risk assessment system sucks. I’ve been doing biz with them for 16+ months (they take money from me every month like clockwork) and the first time I go to get money back from them it takes them 8 days to determine if there is a scam? Unacceptable.
Just another great example how their system cannot scale in its current incarnation.
And so it’s perfectly clear, I understand delays like this for larger amount of money or delays from people they haven’t been doing business with for awhile (new resident stopgap). I’d even understand a first time delay, but the reports I’m receiving is my experience is common and in some cases the delay is much worse.
It’s that time period that I’m criticizing. There doesn’t seem to be any method or order to Linden Lab madness. At least their system could provide some more detail about the inner workings.
Now Baba how much time do you think is reasonable? 10 days? 30 days? Where do you think reasonable becomes unreasonable? We already know my response, but I’m curious how much rope you’ll give Linden Lab.

I cash out weekly. mostly tuesday or wednesday and it never took longer than 8 business days. mostly 5-7 business days. fastest was probably 3 business days. the last one took almost to the minute 7 calender day (5 business days). I don’t cash out very high amounts though. mostly under $100 per week just from camping.
