Sneak preview: sell downloads and earn $$
The Robostudios film, Second Life: A Documentary, was recently released, and has been available as a download from their website since then.
Until now, there hasn’t been a way to pay for a download using linden dollars. There is now a way to buy it using lindens in-world, through a vendor scripted by Nemesis creator Falk Bergman. The vendor is copyable, and automatically pays a commission of 10% to anyone hosting the vendor who sells a download. As the download costs $1500, that’s $150 to you for each download paid for through your vendor.
I should declare an interest immediately: Nemesis Content Creation also gets a split of every download from the vendor too.
There is going to be an event on Nemesis to officially launch the vendor, at which Anders Ogre will be available for a question and answer session, and it will be possible to win a free download of the film, on Thursday, February 22, at 3-6pm SL time.
In the meantime, if you’d like to host a vendor and potentially earn some lindens, go to Nemesis 115, 219, 22 fight your way through the jungle, pick up a copy, and set it out in world on your land.

Help Cali! I stopped by Nemesis, right clicked and didn’t see an option to “copy” the vendor, only to buy the movie. Perhaps you could reply/update with how to get a copy of the vendor? I was thinking of putting in my store somewhere.
I’ll link this to you in chat as well

After further investigation and speaking with Caliandris, the vendor object is not set to copy. Caliandris is going to talk to Falk and see about resolving, so FYI to anybody else reading above that tries to stop by and grab a copy.

eeek…apologies all. I copied it yesterday so I don’t know what happened. If you IM me, I can drop one on you until I manage to sort out the one out in Nemesis

OK…after a bit of shouting and running round in circles… the original vendor has been withdrawn and a new version is now available and copyable at the location given.
thanks!
