OK, forgive the mixed metaphor. But here’s a real-world sim that’s actually worth visiting for both the freebies and the user experience. If you can’t lace up your shoes and grab a ball in the real world, this is a pretty good substitute. It’s relevant now cuz of the NBA Finals (go Spurs!). Although like most of the other outworld builds, the sims are laggy as hell at times, but it’s nowhere near as obnoxious. You can get down on the floor at the T-Mobile sports arena [SLurl], buy a player jersey or NBA wrist and headbands at the NBA store [SLurl], play HORSE on a virtually real court [SLurl] and see archived footage in the Commercial Appeal Lounge. And that’s just a few things to get you started.

User experience: **** (5 possible)

Freebie watch: Good. Click a basketball in the rack and wear it and when you walk, you dribble the ball. Cool! You have to pay in lindens to get the jerseys and official logo gear, but if you wander over to the NBA Orientation Island [SLurl] you can get a free men’s or women’s NBA logo outfit.
