Click to see more posts by Caliandris PendragonUpdate on GamersBrand: take down

Doug Pau tells me that it has always been his policy to remove any item from GamersBrand Island which infringes someone else’s IP.  He further says that creators need not issue a formal takedown notice, they can just contact him and ask for the item to be removed.   He is removing the items I have already stated are infringing animations licences and texture licences, such as the 10,000 textures box previously featured in my story which contains Gnubie textures, Linden Textures, and textures from commercial texture shops all over SL. As I told Mr Pau, this is but a drop in the swirly ocean of boxes to be found on the island, but it is of course to be welcomed as a step in the right direction.

Some people have take a “see you in court” attitude over this, and I can understand that.  However, if you are a creator who has found your stuff on GamersBrand island, all you have to do is to drop a notecard on Doug Pau.   And find your stuff in the first place….
