Visual Studio Island

This morning I took a stroll around the second island Microsoft owns, sim titled simply Microsoft [SLurl], thanks to a link from Miel Van Opsta, who writes:

This Visual Studio Island, however, has a special purpose. Over and above some truly unreal events, the island also contains a series of hidden logic puzzles. If you solve them all, you’ll get into Second Life’s top VIP room where the grand prize awaits.

The event will take place later this evening May 10 at 6pm SL time. If I can remember to get my avatar back over there and if I can get in — think I’ll go as the borg, how fitting — I’ll update this post.

Wait, there’s a dress code: “DRESS CODE: PJs, jeans or your favorite sweats” — I don’t think my borg avatar has any jeans … maybe I won’t be going as a borg, after all. The island looked fairly plain this morning, sporting a mountain retreat type motiff with a building that looks very Microsoftish. There are some cool chairs with the Visual Studio logo, though:

They also plan to litter the island with “mystery eggs” have a gigantic blimp will be in attendance. Any readers or fellow authors planning on attending?
