VTOR site updates and 1/12/07 meeting agenda

I’m sure readers have noticed some of these, but this week a number of changes have been made around VTOR:
- added up to 10 related/similar posts to each single page. This way if you find a post you like, you can see if there are others in the 300+ posts here at VTOR
- if you browse VTOReality.com inside the Second Life browser, a reader-friendly version that fits within the narrow 400 pixels will be displayed thanks to a script by Dillon Morenz. More editing needs to be done to make this fit into the VTOR design, but VTOReality is now formatted and readable, including scaled down images, inside the Second Life browser.

- default server and post timezone is now Pacific Standard Time (PST) which is also Second Life time
- VTOR search results are numbered with total results and appear more like traditional search results
- introductory VTOReality.com advertising now available. We’re still tweaking plans and don’t plan to officially launch this until February, but interested advertisers can get in now
- VTOR virtual office now open (pictured above and below). It’s located in the building the immediate right of TD Scripts (SLurl: Monti 138,153,126). Pictures of the VTOR authors are hanging and are clickable to recent articles by the respective VTOR authors. The main logo is clickable to come here to VTOReality.com

Friendly reminder: our weekly group meeting is today at 2pm PST/SL and a few things we’ll be discussing:
- welcome to new VTOR Author: Caliandris Pendragon
- changes mentioned above
- advertising and other group revenue options
- consistency conventions (necessary or no?): SLurls, style, quoting, links, others suggestions?
- any other questions/concerns?
As mentioned earlier this week VTOR readers are invited to attend today’s event too and offer their thoughts on what they think should be our official comment policy be like or if we should have one at all. There will be an audio stream that coincides with our weekly adult webmaster radio show Script School Radio (#314) streamed live on the VTOReality parcel.
Update 8:22am PST: While the server date/time was changed, it wasn’t changed inside the blog software, so I just made that change. All comments and posts made heretofore will show timezone PST.
