The good news is that even with 35,000 people online, it has been possible to build in SL on a Sunday afternoon.  I know, I was there, doing it.

The bad news is that there were some sims taken offline, possibly due to a problem relating to the introduction of daylight saving time in the US.

There has also been some weirdness about.  In particular, lots of sims seem to have a problem with time dilation.  This is normally at 1.00, but in several sims I have visited recently, the time dilation figure has been swinging about.

We have been wondering if flexi prims intersecting others is a cause of the problem.  We had some trees out which seemed to be causing a problem…and indeed the problem resolved more or less completely once they were taken away.

I am planning to run some experiments to see if it is just scripted flexis, or any flexis, and whether it matters if the prim intersecting the flexi is flexi or not.

There’s another update on Wednesday.  Hopefully things will continue to improve.
