WolfTeam enters pre-open beta test

WolfTeam is an interesting FPS shooter from Softnyx. If you’ve never heard of Softnyx, their claim to fame in the MMO world is Gunbound, a free 2D side-view game of something similar to Scorched Earth except with cute SD avatars. WolfTeam however is very much your usual FPS and a little different from the other games that Softnyx produces.

What’s interesting about this FPS is the different combat styles. You can do your usual long-range attacks via guns. Guns.. guns.. and more guns. Usual FPS right? Not so fast. This game also allows you to transform into a werewolf. Midgame. And it’s brutal close quartered combat. What’s more is that this is one of the few open beta tests that allows US/Canada and other countries outside of Asia to participate. That’s pretty dang awesome when it comes to a free game that allows you to participate in both closed beta, and the open betas.

There’s not too much to tell about this being that it’s super early in the game and they’ve only just now finished closed betas and stress tests. It should definitely be interesting to watch as it progresses. Especially after the earlier reporting of how MMO publishers in Asia are closing in on some outrageous revenue streams.
