Yeah the whole teen grid thing in SL is a bust. My son checked it out for all of a day or two and got bored. I can understand them wanting to do something to keep the teens away from the adult stuff but the grid segregation just doesn't work.

Also, I hate the segregation between the Second Life main and teen grids more and more.

Well that, and when you are a 17 year old and turn 18, you are severed from your friends. In an instant. Cuz that one day is everything.

And here you are gaming WITH your son. That's awesome. And who knows if that's why there are 8 million and counting over there.

My family and I travel extensively, Hawaii, Disneyworld, you name it. There's plenty of after-school activities, there's homework helping, there's lots of working at home (which can be bad at times since there is no break, ever).

We need our own time and our solo activities take time, and yet I've noticed that family time has increased further as both my young boys come of age with the XBOX controller in hand.

Sometimes it's a full on family of four with Viva Pinata, or simply the spectator sport of watching Dad pwn! the bad guys in Superman returns.

A family that games together stays together? Heh. Sounds too corny, but might be true.
