bbtanks.JPG If there is any game that is worth getting sucked into, it’s things that remind me of the old school open source game… Scorched Earth. Some would recognize the game play similar to the commercial party game, Wormz or even similar to the online MMO, Gunbound.

Whatever it reminds you of, BB Tanks is a game where you choose and control different tanks in a turn-based shooter game. The idea is to take out the enemy with your weapon of choice or special weapon. Obviously since it’s turn based, you have a limited time to make a decision either to move, shoot, or use your special weapon. Whatever you choose, you will probably have to take into account terrain, weather, and the angle that you’re firing along with the power of your shot. And the closer you get to hitting someone, the more likely that they might be gunning for you at the same time.

Truthfully, these games are a lot more addictive than you give them credit. You definitely can sit there and hammer on it all day long without too much thought and there’s not too much push to “level up” since it’s more of a record base. Item shop wise, you can buy things that will give you somewhat of an advantage. That is the point of micropayment of course so obviously you might come across some beefier tanks when playing against other people online. Free for Windows.
