Project Origin renamed as F.E.A.R. 2

According to a newsletter that I received, it seems that Project Origin has finally officially been named as F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

We assume that this is because it was hard to distinguish that Project Origin was the sequel to F.E.A.R.. If you’ve never played this series, I highly recommend it. It’s a mix of a FPS (first person shooter) with a horror piece. Having played every single expansion pack and the original, I can say that it’s like mixing in a good FPS along with Silent Hill. Hopefully the sequel as good as the original since parts of the Perseus Mandate were slightly cheesy, although fun.

If you’re looking for this, it can be preordered for PC, 360 or PS3. Release date should be sometime in February of 2009.
