rappelz.jpg Rappelz is a really beautifully drawn MMORPG where you are one of three people of Gaia and you’re in search of if the rumors of the return of a great witch that was burned alive long ago is true.

Interestingly enough, of all of this, the thing that caught my eye is their PK system. PK stands for Player Kill for those that do not play MMORPGs much. Usually, most MMORPGs do not have this set as default and neither does Rappelz. Basically, it gives you degradations to your skill levels and strength due to the fact that you kill other players that are not within your grade range. Immoral points are calculated based on whom you kill that is outside this boundaries. To remove immoral points, you have to fight higher level monsters.

Weapons upgrades are done through upgrading current base weapons with customization items. Based on the enchant strength, and how high level you are, you could fail in upgrading a weapon. Amusingly, this also is similar to many other MMORPGs such as one of my favorites, SilkRoad.

Like all of the asian MMORPGs, this one is free to play and make most if not all of their money off of the micropayment business model. Another reason to take note that these corporations are starting to look into expansion into North America considering that Gala-Net, Inc. is the North American headquarters for The Gala Group.
