The website was set up by Thor Olof Philogene (his real name) and other gaming friends. Mr Philogene, from Sweden, said: ‘When I was in Spain, I was involved in a few of these virtual worlds but when I moved back I realised I was going to lose contact with a lot of people.’
Are you ready to join your avatars across a bunch of virtual worlds? Seems like an ok idea, but I don’t know why one wouldn’t do this at their own vanity domain YOURNAME.COM or YOURNAME.me (although fellow author Darius told me he thought this was a silly idea). BTW, mostly unrelated but there’s a great song by Judas Priest from the album British Steel called United. It would be funny if someone made machinima with that song and a bunch of their avatars. United, United, United!
