myrl.jpg It seems like there’s a social network for everything these days, and virtual worlds have theirs too. Myrl striving to become the social network medium for all of your avatars.Being in private beta currently, it seems that you can basically fill out some avatar information and it’s trying to become the news source and middleground for everything virtual. Think a Joystiq and Facebook mashup and you might actually get to where it seems to be going. There are a couple networks out there that are already on the ground like the ning group, World vs World where you can vote on the better virtual worlds. With so many virtual worlds being born, and others dying, this does seem like an interesting area to delve into as the middleman.Maybe it’s just me, but when I looked at the name, my brain related it with “My real life”. The irony of the name is enjoyable if that’s truly where the name originates.
