Super Stardust HD Teampack not online co-op
And boy do I wish it was. TD and I have been wanting to play this together and bust some planets up for a while, and when we heard about it, we were pretty excited.
But let’s not count our chickens yet! When I downloaded the teampack last night, I found out that there’s on online co-op. It was just local, alone with some interesting ways to play, but otherwise pretty useless from my end seeing that no one else really comes over to have a gaming night and I don’t have kids like TD does to jam out a weekend.
Oh well. Caveat emptor. Should have done the homework before shelling out that $4.99USD that could have been used on a Happy Meal instead. or something. I did check and found that indeed I was correct and the purchase wasn’t corrupted or anything. CAG forums has notice that it’s only local co-op.
What a let down. This functionality online would have been absolutely spectacular since that would mean that for once, a DLC type game introduces online connectivity. Much like how Killzone: Liberation did for the PSP. And believe me when I tell you, that was absolutely fantastic. Hopefully HouseMarque will bring out network connectivity sometime. It would be great to actually play with other people, or just have an all out giant planet that eight to sixteen people defend. Or heck, more players.

Yeah this sucks, what are they thinking? Why put the word “team” in the title when it doesn’t include the ability to play in a team over the network. Local team play is so 1990s. Get with the program!
