Inauguration Events in Second Life
Avatars are gathering now at locations around Second Life to view Inauguration events scheduled to begin in just a couple of hours. The biggest and best-organized celebration is sponsored by NetRoots Nation at three of their allied locations: the NetRoots Nation Arena, Progressive Island and the specially dedicated Inauguration Island. NetRoots Nation, which hosts an allied group of progressive organizations on its permanent island, has three hours of entertainment planned, beginning with a streamed-in view of the ceremony, followed by live music, as well as its own Inauguration Ball tonight on Inauguration Island.
Other balls and parties are scheduled to swing into action later today too. For a complete list, type in “Inauguration” in Search in the SL client (it’s working, at last!) and find your favorite venue. Several SL builders and merchants have been busy creating commemorative items. My favorite are my freebie Obama shoes from Sole Sisters (see pic below).

This animation based work is looking much tactful to demonstrate.
